Aircall alternatives: 6 options compared

By the editors of Analytics1.comLast reviewed 19 October 2026

The short answer

Small teams look past Aircall because its plans are priced per licence with a three-licence minimum. CallHippo, KrispCall and Calilio are virtual phone systems aimed at smaller teams, 800.com focuses on toll-free and vanity numbers, Dialpad builds AI transcription into its phone system, and RingCentral bundles phone, video and messaging. None of them is call attribution; for that, see call tracking.

Why people switch from Aircall

  • Licence minimum. Aircall's Essentials plan was priced from $30 per licence per month, billed annually, with a minimum of 3 licences, in October 2026.
  • Solo or two-person teams. A minimum of three seats is more than some small businesses need.
  • Number needs. Some businesses mainly want a toll-free or vanity number that forwards to mobiles.

What to check before switching

  1. Number availability in every country you need, and porting of your existing numbers.
  2. Call quality on your own network during a trial.
  3. CRM and helpdesk integrations you depend on.
  4. Whether you also need attribution. A phone system logs calls; it does not tell you which ad made the phone ring.

The options

Listed alphabetically, not ranked. Descriptions come from each vendor’s own site as of October 2026; we have not tested these products in a live account. Prices appear only where we read them on the vendor’s pricing page.

Migration notes

  • Port numbers in a quiet week and keep the old service until the port completes.
  • Recreate call flows (business hours, IVR menus, ring groups) and test each path.
  • If you track calls from ads, check your call tracking platform forwards correctly to the new system.

Head to head: Aircall vs RingCentral and Aircall vs CallHippo. More options: best virtual phone systems. For attribution: call tracking explained.

Not legal advice. Call recording needs notice, and every party's consent in all-party consent states and under GDPR rules in the EU and UK.

Questions

Is Aircall a call tracking tool?
No. Aircall is a cloud phone system for routing, recording and logging calls. It does not tie a call to the ad, keyword or page that produced it. That is what call tracking platforms such as CallRail and WhatConverts do.
