Classic SEO analytics answers: which queries show our pages, where do we rank, and which pages earn clicks. Google Search Console answers most of that for free. The newer question is whether AI assistants mention your brand when someone asks for a recommendation, and that needs a different kind of tracking.

The free baseline

  • Google Search Console: queries, impressions, clicks and average position, straight from Google.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools: the same for Bing, which also feeds several AI assistants.
  • GA4 landing page reports: what organic visitors do once they arrive.

AI search visibility

AI answer engines do not publish a Search Console equivalent. Visibility trackers run sets of prompts across the assistants on a schedule and record whether your brand is mentioned, in what position, and which sources were cited.
