Best website visitor identification tools for B2B (2026)

By the editors of Analytics1.comLast reviewed 19 October 2026

The short answer

To see which companies visit your site and what they read, start with a dedicated tool such as Leadfeeder or Albacross; HubSpot users get company identification through Breeze Intelligence (formerly Clearbit). If you also want contacts at those companies and outreach in one place, sales platforms such as Apollo.io and Amplemarket combine data, signals and sequences. Person-level identification (RB2B) is US-focused and carries more privacy risk.

Analytics1 Score result

#1 website visitor identification tools for B2B, by the Analytics1 Score: RB2B (87/100)

  1. #2 Apollo.io 81
  2. #3 HubSpot Breeze Intelligence (Clearbit) 78

Scored from vendors’ own published pages with fixed weights; partner and sponsor status are not inputs. How the score works.

How to choose

  • Company or person? Most tools name companies from IP data. Person-level identification raises GDPR and state privacy questions.
  • Match rate on your traffic. Office networks match well; remote workers on home broadband and mobile match poorly. Trial on your own traffic.
  • CRM sync. Identified companies are only useful if they reach the CRM record your sales team works from.
  • Filters. Exclude ISPs, existing customers and job seekers, and alert only on high-intent pages such as pricing.
  • Where you sell. EU and UK outreach brings in GDPR and PECR.

The ranking

Ranked by the Analytics1 Score, from evidence read on each vendor’s own site on 19 October 2026. Affiliate partners and sponsors are scored by the same rules as everyone else: being a partner or buying a placement has no effect on a score or a position. We have not tested these products in a live account.

Turning visits into pipeline

  1. Define a high-intent visit: pricing page, two or more visits in a week, or a case study in your core vertical.
  2. Send only those to sales, with the pages read.
  3. Research the account and reach the right role with a relevant message, not "I saw you on our website".
  4. Measure meetings booked from identified accounts against a control period.
Company-level data is generally treated differently from personal data, but contact enrichment and cold outreach are regulated in the EU and UK (GDPR, PECR) and in several US states. Not legal advice.

Questions

Can I see exactly who visited my website?
Usually you can see the company, not the person. Visitor identification tools match the visitor's IP address to a company network. A few US tools claim person-level matches, which raises privacy and consent questions.
How accurate is website visitor identification?
Accuracy depends on your audience. Visitors on office networks match well; remote workers on home broadband, mobile users and VPN users often do not match at all. Trial a tool on your own traffic before committing.
