What Miro does

Miro is an infinite, shared canvas for whiteboarding, diagrams, flowcharts, mind maps and customer journey maps, with more than 6,000 templates, docs, tables, slides, roadmaps and AI generators. The vendor says it connects with more than 250 apps.

Miro is not an analytics tool, and we list it for one job analytics projects routinely skip: the measurement plan. Before tagging anything, map the customer journey, mark the steps you will measure, name the events and the conversion that matters at each, and agree it with the client or team. A shared journey map turns into the event list for GA4 event tracking and avoids rebuilding the tracking later.

A good fit for

  • Agencies and in-house teams running measurement-planning workshops with clients.
  • Teams mapping funnels and journeys before choosing tools.

Probably not for

  • Anyone looking for reports or dashboards of marketing data.

Alternatives

  • ClickUp: Project management with reporting dashboards and client portals.
  • FigJam: Figma's whiteboard.
  • Lucid: Diagramming and whiteboarding.
