What Hostinger does

Hostinger sells shared, WordPress and VPS hosting. Its Docker VPS plans come with an Ubuntu 24.04 template with Docker preinstalled, a visual Docker Manager that deploys from Compose files, a Traefik template for routing and HTTPS, AMD EPYC processors, NVMe storage, weekly automatic backups and data centres in North America, Europe, Asia and South America.

The analytics use is self-hosting. Matomo, Plausible Community Edition and Umami all publish Docker Compose set-ups, so a small VPS can run privacy-friendly analytics with the data on a server you control. Self-hosting moves the work to you: updates, backups, security and capacity. Read how to self-host Matomo or Plausible before you commit.

A good fit for

  • Developers and technical marketers who want analytics data on their own server at low cost.
  • Agencies running one self-hosted analytics instance for several small client sites.

Probably not for

  • Teams without someone to patch and back up a server: hosted Plausible or Matomo Cloud is simpler.
  • High-traffic sites: they need sizing and database tuning beyond an entry VPS.
