AgencyAnalytics vs Looker Studio for client reporting

By the editors of Analytics1.comLast reviewed 19 October 2026

The short answer

Looker Studio is free and endlessly flexible, connects natively to Google's own products, and needs paid third-party connectors for most other platforms and someone to build and maintain each report. AgencyAnalytics is a paid platform built for agencies, with its own connectors to 85+ marketing platforms, white-label client portals and automated reports, so less building and more maintenance done for you. Agencies with a data person often stay on Looker Studio; agencies that want reporting off their plate tend to pay.

The hidden cost of free

Looker Studio's price is zero, but connectors for platforms outside Google are usually sold by third parties per source or per account, and someone spends hours building, fixing and updating each client's report when an API changes. Count those hours before comparing prices.

Choose Looker Studio if

  • Most client data lives in Google products or a warehouse such as BigQuery.
  • You need bespoke analysis that a template will not cover.
  • You have someone who enjoys building dashboards.

Choose AgencyAnalytics if

  • You report on many clients across many ad, social, SEO and call tracking platforms.
  • Clients expect a branded login rather than a shared link.
  • Report production is eating account managers' time.

What a good report contains, whichever tool builds it: client reporting dashboards for agencies.
